Answer: MyTravelGov is a fairly new system in place specifically for renewal applications. There may still be issues that's why your data cannot be retrieved.

Answer: Are you applying for a U.S. passport? The term annexure does not sound like a part of any U.S. passport form.

Answer: Yes, you have to wait. Also, expedited service takes 5 to 7 weeks, excluding shipping. It is very unlikely that you will receive your passport in 3 weeks even without the SSN issue.

Question: I recently had my passport stolen when thieves broke into my rental car and stole my bookbag. I applied for a new passport at a passport acceptance agency. I ordered expedited and 1-2 day shipping, and did enclose a check for the correct amount.

However, I did not see if the lady helping me put an "Expedited" sticker anywhere on my paperwork. Also, I did not write the word "Expedited" anywhere on any envelope, because they package everything for you and send it out after they approve all your documents, meaning I did not touch any envelope per se. After reading previous comments, I don't think this will be a problem.

However, the following may be an issue. I live in Illinois, meaning that normal applications go to the Passport Center in Texas, whereas all Expedited applications should go to Philadelphia. Answer: Your application will be routed to the correct processing center if it ends up in the wrong one.

Answer: Yes, you will need the old passport if you want a renewal. If you submit a new application (Form DS-11) instead, you will not need it. You may submit your birth certificate or citizenship/naturalization certificate to prove your U.S. citizenship.

Answer: Passport services is very specific in the photo requirements so it is unlikely that the photo you submitted will be used. You need ti wait for them to reach out and provide instructions on where to send a new photo.

Question: The person who gave me their passport and paperwork to mail in for them (company associate) did not give me Page 2 of the application, unbeknownst to me. He just gave it to me today. What will happen when they receive his application and they do not have Page 2?

Answer: Processing will resume as soon as the document is received. Expedited processing takes 5 to 7 weeks and you also have to take into account some delays due to the missing signature. It is unlikely that you will receive the passport in 10 days.

Answer: Yes, you sent the wrong form. You may only use Form DS-5504 for a legal name change within a year of your passport's issuance.

Since it has been 4 years since your passport was issued, you need to send Form DS-82.

The fees ($78.32) you paid are only for expedited processing and 1-2 days delivery. You need to pay the $110 renewal fee in order to get your name changed on your existing passport.

Once your application is received, passport services will contact you regarding the wrong form, with instructions on where to send the right application form and appropriate payment for fees.

Answer: It should not be a problem unless there is another applicant with the same name as yours and the check gets separated from the rest of your application.

Answer: You cannot report the passport as lost. It will only complicate the application process.

It is possible that the passport was damaged that's why it was deemed invalid. An expired passport is valid for renewal as long as has not been 5 years since issuance.

Answer: The omission of the list of names used in the past might not be an issue but if you applied for a passport name change, you should have sent proof of legal name change. This must be your marriage certificate, not your marriage license.

If there is a missing document or any other problem with your application, you will receive a letter and email from passport services with instructions on how and where to send the missing document/corrected application form.

Answer: It is possible that the passport was lost while in transit. If this is the case you need to file Form DS-86 Statement of Non-Receipt of U.S. Passport within 90 days of the passport's supposed issuance.

You need to schedule an appointment at a regional passport agency so you can get your passport issued in time for your trip. Your appointment date must be 3 business days before your travel date.

Answer: Passport services usually contact applicants with missing documents with instructions on how to send them. In your case, however, they may have issues locating your mailing address since it's the application form that's missing. Even if you mail the form, they may not be able to easily match it with your photo, check, and old passport since they receive thousands of applications on a daily basis.
